What You Need in Your Life and What it is Showing You
-
What is your life? Your life is made up of what you do, the people in it, and all of the things going on inside your head. Which includes the things you think, the things that other people think, what you know and what you believe.
Another important part of your life is what you want. And specifically what you want to happen and what you want to get. And for some of these things you have a certain amount of control and power to get them.
But for other things, and usually the most important things or the things that you really want, you have no control over them coming into your life and there’s nothing you can do to change that.
And although it’s natural to look at what you don’t have or even further into the distance at what you want, it’s more important to look at what you are getting because this will show you a lot about your life.
And what you are getting is what you need, because what you need are situations that challenge you and push you too your limits. What you need even pushes you through those limits into new areas that you didn’t know you could endure.
What you need is often not what you would call good. It is difficult, stressful, painful and seemingly never ending. But it is meaningful to you and your life if you know how to look at it.
And of course there are times when you get some respite from being hit with difficulties, and times when nothing much is happening and you can take a breath and recuperate. These times are equally as important.
Your life can’t be full on all the time. There are waves of activity and then periods of calm. And it’s never more than you can take and always enough to push you on to the next thing.
So how should you look at all of this that’s happening and what does it show you about your life? Well, your life is specific to you and what you need, but how you should look at your life is the same for everybody.
What you need could come from anywhere and any part of your life. You only have to recognize it. It could come from how you feel physically, including any aches, pains or uncomfortableness you might have.
It could come from a problem that you might have at work or at home, and it could be something small or something on-going. And maybe it’s something you dismiss as being normal life.
What you need could simply come from the things that you have to do in order to live your life. For whatever reason your life has become what it is now and for better or worse you are obliged to deal with it.
Or it could come from the people in your life and more specifically an interaction you have with them. You could also get the same thing you need from the same person more than once.
And now let’s move on to what it’s showing you. Random Pain or uncomfortableness in your body shows you that your body needs attention, or that you need to pay attention to your thoughts.
Problems show you that you need to perform better. Of course they highlight a certain area of your life but the emphasis here is that you need to be doing better with something specific.
The things that you have to do to live your life provide you with the starting point for how difficult your life will be everyday. This is the base level that you need at the moment.
The people in your life show you what you need to improve about yourself. You naturally measure yourself against people everyday but who do you need to be more like and who do you need to be less like in your life.
Remember that what you are going through is for you and shouldn’t be put onto someone else. It’s natural to share what you are going through but it’s unfair to share too much and burden other people with your stuff.
Own it, rise to it and get through it by yourself. That way you can get the most out of it, you can change the most from it, and you can become who you need to be to tackle the next part of your life
